Long Beautiful Hair?

Women... Who made 'em?  God must have been a... genius.
Their hair.  They say that the hair is everything, you know?
 Have you ever buried your nose in a mountain of curls, and just wanted to go to sleep forever?
~Bo Goldman

Luminary has her hair all in a bunch!
Just a few more details and she will be complete. Phheewwww.

Reflection

There are two ways of spreading light;
 to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it. ~Edith Wharton

Desiderata: Latin- Desired Things

The first two people who taught me what "Love" is.
Two of my most desired...
Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be
in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the
ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are
vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself to others, you may become vain and bitter; for always
there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own
career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the the world is full of trickery. But
let not this blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in
the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take
kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress
yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the
universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And
whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive him to be, and whatever
your labors and aspirations in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.
With all it's sham drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

The Perfect Woman

Perfect Woman

She was a phantom of delight
When first she gleam'd upon my sight;
A lovely apparition, sent
To be a moment's ornament;
Her eyes as star of twilight fair;
Like twilight's, too, her dusky hair;
But all things else about her drawn
From May-time and the cheerful dawn;
A dancing shape, an image gay,
To haunt, to startle, and waylay.

I saw her upon nearer view,
A Spirit, yet a Woman too!
Her household motions light and free,
And steps of virgin liberty;
A countenance in which did meet
Sweet records, promises as sweet;
A creature not too bright or good
For human nature's daily food;
For transient sorrows, simple wiles,
Praise, blame, love, kisses, tears, and smiles.

And now I see with eye serene
The very pulse of the machine;
A being breathing thoughtful breath,
A traveller between life and death;
The reason firm, the temperate will,
Endurance, foresight, strength, and skill;
A perfect Woman, nobly plann'd
To warm, to comfort, and command;
And yet a Spirit still, and bright
With something of angelic light.

Keep On With The Force, Don't Stop

Begin at the beginning and go on
 till you come to the end;
then stop.
~Lewis Carrol
Not quite there, yet; just thought I'd share the progress...
I have added a bit of mosaic shards, the color
is starting to really bring her to life.
I attempted to use cement and steel wool to sculpt hair; yuk,
it was way too heavy and oppressive, and because it re-wet the
plaster gauze it was easy to tear it all off. Working
on new hair with wire screen.

Keep on with the force, don't stop.
Don't stop til you get enuf.
~Michael Jackson
